The Fandango Channel is the first channel to be launched on Hulu and will be available to Hulu Plus users. The channel is aimed at helping viewers find films and will be Fandango’s first foray into the world of video-on-demand. Fandango is known as the online movie ticketing company, but it is now focusing on creating online content to boost its portfolio.
All Hulu Plus subscribers can watch the Fandango Channel any time that they like. Included in the channel will be the award themed FrontRunners interview hosted by Fandango’s anchor Dave Karger. It has many guests such as Jenifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Emma Stone, Michael Keaton, and more. Also available on the channel is Reel Kids, a show aimed at offering kids advice on what to see, Weekend Ticket, a movie recommendation show, and Mom’s Movie Minute, an advice show for parents looking at films to watch.
President of Fandango, Paul Yanover, stated that this partnership with Hulu will allow the Fandango content to be spread onto new platforms and that the Fandango Channel is now going to be able to reach more people than ever. He added that this will help offer more premium content to those who regularly view movies.
