Back Door Productions are behind well known travelogue creator Rick Steves. While Rick Steves and Back Door Productions are primarily known for their work in Europe in such diverse locations as Kosovo, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, and Russia they also produce travel videos, blogs, vlogs and many other travel related media through their production company "Back Door Productions."
The company began in the year 2000 with their first travel specials which had them giving prospective English speaking travelers tips on how to avoid pitfalls traveling mainland Europe as well as showing them some of the best and most well traversed spots and hidden gems that continental Europe offers. Their programs proved immensely popular and spawned a production company that continues to do this day to help travelers reach their destinations safely and in good spirits.
After producing their travel tips series Backdoor Productions and Rick Steves ended up creating videos and books relating to specific cities, regions, and countries in Europe as opposed to just focusing on mainland Europe as a whole. Some examples include a breathtaking trip through taking the Transiberian Railway across Russia and the far east as well as more mundane trips through the UK which were primarily created for Americans, Canadians, and other members of the anglosphere who wish to learn more about Mother England.
Since then Back Door Productions has expanded their horizons and produces travel media for places all across the globe from the far east to the high plains of rural Texas and shows no signs of stopping.
