Archbuild is an American company specializing in providing a digital content channel on the internet that allows users to access a variety of video and music material. The company began as a small t.v. repair shop in Brooklyn, New York in 1988 before the owner, John Hammond, sold it to a young entrepreneur by the name of Steve Baldinger. Baldinger saw the need for new media production and used the revenues from the repair side of the company to fund the creation of television shows that he subsequently sold to Fox such as "Here in a Wayward Manner", "All the Night to Stop", and "NY: I Love You."
The increased capital allowed the small company to expand and begin producing feature-length films in conjunction with larger studios such as Time Warner and Universal and use top actors in the industry as a result of contracts with premier talent agencies such as CAA and UA (United Artists).
Now, Archbuild is known for its quality content that pushes the boundaries of modern media by taking on themes that are not found in typical television and film productions. Examples include: "My Life as a Beggar" and "This is War."
In addition, the music arm now licenses a variety of albums from world-class artists such as Alicia Keys, John Legend, Prince, and One Direction in order to provide a wider variety to the listeners and viewers that access the platform via the internet and traditional cable television packages. In 2014, Archbuild began offering a premium "Super Watcher" membership.
