3Net was an American 3D television channel that launched in the early winter of 2011 and went until late summer of the 2014 year. It was a venture jointed by the Discovery Communications brand, Sony, and IMAX as well. The creation of the station began in early 2010 and continued into 2011 when it was officially produced and launched. The channel was initially previewed for the first time by the public at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2011, where later on it was launched to the rest of the public nationwide.
The station kept up with its creativity by having a long list of original shows. Son of a Pitch, Experience 3D, In The Qube 3D, Wildebeest Migration, Bullproof, African Wild, Attack of the Giant Jellyfish, 3D Safari: Africa, 2011 3D Creative Arts Awards: Your World in 3D, Making the Brand, Jewels of the World, High Octane, Dream Defenders, Ghost Lab, and China Reveled were just some of the original workings from 3Net.
Some of the TV footage has even become available on the Nintendo 3DS, which is a handheld gaming system. This is provided through their Nintendo Video service. This allowed gamers to view the videos in 3D, just as people watching the channel would.
