Yidio Focus: New Season of 'True Blood' Out in June; Cast Offers Spoilers at C2E2 (Watch Yidio Footage of Sam Tramell)

One thing you learn by sitting in a room full of "True Blood" fans (aka FangBangers), all foaming at the mouth for more information about their Sooki, Bill, Eri and Sam is that these people really do not like "Twilight." I mean, really, really don't like "Twilight."

We checked in at C2E2 in Chicago this weekend to learn more about the upcoming season of "True Blood" from the cast, including Sam Trammell (Sam), Kristin Bauer (Pam) and Brit Morgan (Debbie).

While the cast had to be careful to avoid mentioning "Twilight" or Robert Pattinson lest they be literally booed and hissed at by dudes wearing "Real Vampires Don't Wear Glitter" t-shirts, they were more than happy to share details from the upcoming season.

F'ing Bitch-tastic Fangtasian

Kristin Bauer said her character Pam's maker and Fangtasia partner Eric "is going through some changes this season, which follows the book, and he has lost some of his memory."

Despite going through what she foresees to be some challenging scenes that will expose her more vulnerable side in regards to Eric, she promised her character would be "f'ing bitch-tastic" this season.

When an audience member asked about getting more background on the show about her relationship with Eric, she said, "I want to see this happen and I hope they get around in flashbacks or something to show how we came together."

Shape Shifting Sam

Resident PT nudist Sam Trammell said the new season would thoroughly explore the backstory of the shape-shifters, and mentioned that he would have "a long overdue" new love interest (beyond his frequent trysts with Tara).

He wouldn't rule out any more hot supernatural sex with Tara Thornton (played by Rutina Wesley), as he said that kind of thing is sort of "inevitable," and that sex scenes with Tara seem to happen "out of nowhere."

No word on who Sam's serious love interest would be, but he did imply it was likely to be someone new.

He reminded fans that audience favorite Lafayette (played by Nelsan Ellis) was supposed to die at the end of season one, but said he would be around for a new season because he was so welll liked by fans.

"He was supposed to die. There was a scene where a foot is hanging out of a car and that was supposed to be him. But he was just so good, there was no way Alan could kill him...We changed a lot of things from the book to the show, and that was one of the good ones."

Lafayette's name continually came up as an integral part of the new season, and Trammell gave him credit for keeping the bar from crumbling amidst the hellstorm of the past few seasons.

Of Sam's own story arc, Trammell said "I like where they are starting to take taking my character - it's a little edgier and kind of interesting."

Happy to Be Here

Brit Morgan, who plays the comparably minor character Debbie on the show (though she will apparently be in five episodes in the upcoming season), seemed in awe of the series and its creator Alan Ball, and said she embraces the role of being a "pain in the ass," while sometimes wishing her character could be more likable.

While the cast didn't share too much that qualifies as groundbreaking, we were stuck by just how entertaining they were, even when they weren't engaged in naked, blood-splattered, demonic orgies.

The new season of "True Blood" will premiere on Sunday, June 26th.
