Please Don't: Audrina Patridge Wants Movie Version of 'The Hills'
by Andy NeuenschwanderOf the many, many shows on television that I would love to see turned into a movie (let's get a "Cake Boss" movie going, everyone! Time's a-wasting!), "The Hills" is not on my list. In fact, I did a little jig the day "The Hills" went off the air, because I assumed (correctly) that it would mean the end of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.
But Audrina Patridge told Ryan Seacrest that a movie version of "The Hills" might be in the works soon. "We were kind of all just so fed up with each other that we all needed a little break," she explained. "We've all had our break. Maybe we'll all come back together and do a movie."
The "we all" that she's referring to includes Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Lauren Bosworth, and Stephanie Pratt. And, of course, there's Spencer and Heidi, who are reportedly flat broke due to money mis-management and living in Spencer's parents' house in Santa Barbara. So I'm sure those two would love a movie at this point.
But I maintain that this does not, and will never, need to happen. "The Hills" always fascinated me due to its semi-scripted, semi-reality format, but once it started breeding attention-hungry tabloid monsters (I'm looking at you, Speidi) I vowed to never watch another minute of it.
What do you think? Would you like to see a movie version of "The Hills," or should they just let the show die?
