BREAKING COUPLES NEWS: Ashlee Simpson Files for Divorce from Pete Wentz

Another one bites the dust. TMZ is reporting that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court to dissolve her almost-3-year marriage to rocker Pete Wentz, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple, who wed in May 2008, have had a series of bumps along the road during their short union. Notably, Wentz ruffled his wife's feathers when he went on record with Howard Stern in 2008, sharing private details about their bedroom behavior.

Included in the court papers, Simpson is seeking joint custody and primary physical custody of the couple's son Bronx, 2.

She is also requesting spousal support and child support from the Fall Out Boy bassist.

No prenuptial agreement was in place before the union.
