Amy Poehler on the Ron Swanson Emmy Snub: 'It's a Hot Load of Bulls$%^'

Amy Poehler on the Ron Swanson Emmy Snub: 'It's a Hot Load of Bulls$%^' Amy Poehler is pleased as pie about her show "Parks & Recreation" getting an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, and couldn't be happier about her own nomination for Lead Actress, Comedy, but I'll tell ya one thing she's not happy about, and that's Nick Offerman getting snubbed from the Emmys for his portrayal of the well-moustachioed man's man Ron Swanson.

Poehler told Hitfix "it's a hot load of bullsh^& that he didn't get a nomination, and you can quote me on that. But I suspect and hope that will change. And certainly in that field there are a lot of talented men vying for that position. If you asked Nick, he'd say the show is represented. But I would say his work on the show is the best stuff on TV, and he deserves every award," said Poehler.

Of course, we've got Poehler's back in a big way on this one. Offerman's Ron Swanson is part man, part moustachioed comedy machine, and the fact that he got pushed out of the nominations by a couple of milquetoasts from "The Big Bang Theory" put him squarely on our list of "The Emmy Nominations: Who Got Shafted."

Of course, not all is lost for Swanson (er Offerman), according to Poehler.

"A lot of people don't know that just last week, Tom Selleck presented him with a Lifetime Mustache Award, which a lot of people don't know. He'll always have that, and they can't take that away from him."

Apparently, he's also got an alternate career to fall back on if all else fails.

"A lot of people don't know that Nick designed all of the costumes in 'Game of Thrones.'"

So he's got that goin' for him.
