After rescuing Holly's father, the gang waits for him to awaken. Then, the Mystery Disc gets stolen by General Durahan.

After losing to Most, Mocchi decides he will try again in the next Legend Cup. Meanwhile, Mum Mew and Gobi are ordered by General Durham to sneak into Iron Bird, where Most is staying, to steal Gaia.

General Durahan orders Mew and Gobi to show him the highlights of the Legend Cup thus far. Meanwhile, Most's public sparring match is held to raise funds for a gymnasium for young boys and girls as well as monsters that intend to participate in future monster battles.

An airplane lifts off from the crash site of General Durahan's ship. Genki and gang made it to the International Monster Association headquarters to register for the Legend Cup. During the conversation with the official, we discovered that Suezo does not know that Mocchi had to fight two monsters to win the Legend Cup. Everyone is surprised and taunts Suezo about it. Suezo felt embarrassed and tried to save his face by saying that he was just trying to make everyone relax. Later in the forest, Mocchi decides to battle Most last. This means that Mocchi will fight Poritoka first in tomorrow's Legend Cup. Everyone starts to think about how Mocchi is going to defeat Poritoka. Suezo volunteers to use himself as a practice opponent for Mocchi as he and Poritoka are of the same type. So Suezo and Mocchi prepares for battle. Suezo uses Tail Attack and Mocchi counters with Mocchi cannonball. This attack sends Suezo flying into the sky. While the gang searches for Suezo in the forest, they chance upon a giant mansion. After a while, Suezo joins them and Poritoka appears saying that this is one of his summerhouses and tells them to leave it immediately. When he learnt that Mocchi is his opponent, he laughs at them, saying that he will be no match for his Tail Attack. He continues to taunt them saying that Suezo does not have even a fraction of his power. Suezo gets ready to confront Poritoka but everyone turns and leaves. Suezo does not understand and ask them why didn't they feel angry with Poritoka. Then everyone shows their displeasure and wants to beat Poritoka even more than ever. Although they have never seen Poritoka in battle last year, they decided to prepare for Poritoka's fearsome Tail Attack by practicing. Suezo wanders off to "look for something" but made his way into Poritoka's mansion. He teleported in and wandered about the huge mansion, not knowing where to find Poritoka. He then sees a few Suezos gathering outside a door with a fainted Suezo. Suezo thinks that Poritoka is inside the door so he peeped in. Sure enough, Poritoka is practicing with other Suezos who are too terrified to move. Suddenly Poritoka appeared outside the door, behind Suezo and tells him that he will see better inside in the room. Suezo tries to teleport off but was held down by the other Suezos. Poritoka wants them to teach Suezo a lesson. Suezo managed to break free and dash towards Poritoka. Back in the forest, Mocchi will able to dodge everyone's attacks in the training and they are very hopeful that Mocchi can win tomorrow. Suddenly, Poritoka appears, holding a badly hurt Suezo. Everyone wants to beat Poritoka up but Genki tells them that they will settle it tomorrow. Suezo tells Holly that he has memorized Poritoka's Tail Attack before fainting. Later at night, Suezo woke up after smelling the stew. He runs towards them and appears to be suffering from amnesia. Then he snapped out of the daze and tells them that they have to start practicing to stand a chance of winning tomorrow, but first he will need to eat. Suezo lines Golem, Tiger and Hare up to fight Mocchi by emulating Poritoka's Tail Attack. Suezo tells Genki that he will show no mercy and the fight begins. Genki and Mocchi are quickly overwhelmed and laid hurt on the ground. Holly tells them to stop but no one listens as they all want Mocchi to win tomorrow, so Genki and Mocchi got up and they continued the training. The next day, we find Poison, Mum Mew and Goby sitting in the crowd at the stadium where the Legend Cup is held. They had at little squabble but were interrupted by General Durahan via a visual phone. It turns out that General Durahan came in the airplane mentioned earlier and they plan to snatch the Magic Stone and the Mystery Disk after Mocchi wins. So that General Durahan can fuse with Moo's soul and he can take over the world. Back at the stadium, the officials introduced this year's challengers - Genki's team. They appeared to an astonished crowd, wrapped in bandages. The baddies wondered how would Mocchi win in this state. Then they introduced the defending champions, The Legendary Great White Eyeball - Poritoka and The Master of The Aurora Attack - Most. Mocchi tells the official that he will fight Poritoka first. The rest of the gang took their seats among the crowd while Genki and Mocchi gets ready to fight. The match starts and Mocchi runs over with a barrage of Double Pounders, Poritoka easily avoided them all. Poritoka counters with Tongue Slap and Genki tells Mocchi to use Mocchi Cannonball. Poritoka jumps away and Mocchi lands hard on the ground. Poritoka decides to use his fearsome Tail Attack but after several heart pounding moments, Mocchi managed to avoid the attack to everyone's surprise. The gang was glad that their hard work paid off. Suezo recalls the training last night. Poritoka's tail attack was emulated by starting off with Golem's Tornado Attack, then Suezo's Tail Attack emerges from the tornado, followed by Hare and Tiger's body attacks. Poritoka laughs and said that they made a right choice by sending a spy over yesterday. Poritoka then surprises everyone by using a Tail Attack and Teleport combo. Mocchi is overwhelmed and falls to the ground. Mocchi climbs up and attacks with Mocchi Cannon while Poritoka gets ready to use the combo again. Poritoka avoids the Mocchi Cannon and tells them that he already saw it coming. Poritoka then continues his attacks by appearing all over the ring. Poison said that if Mocchi loses they will have to get the Magic Stone themselves and this worries Mum Mew. Poritoka floats over the fallen Mocchi and taunts him about his courage. Mocchi is badly beaten with bruises all over but he still stands up and prepares to fight. Poritoka gets ready to use the combo again while Genki tells Mocchi to use his (Genki) energy like it is his (Mocchi's) own. Mocchi gets pumped up by Genki's energy and starts to feel his opponent with his heart. Mocchi could see Poritoka coming and avoided the combo successfully. Mocchi leaps into the sky and uses Cherry Blossom Blizzard, sending Poritoka into the air. Mocchi fires Mocchi Cannon directly at Poritoka. Most who is watching from one side said "Its all over." Poritoka said, "This can't be happening!" and is sent flying into the sidewalls. Mocchi scores a Knock Out and wins the match. Everyone celebrates, Tiger and Hare hugged together but quickly separates. Even Poison and Mum Mew were hugging together but they too quickly separate and said that they are now one step closer to getting the Magic Stone and Mystery Disk. The badly beaten Mocchi tells Genki that he managed to beat Poritoka and Genki said it was a classic Knock Out. Most comes on to the stage to congratulate Mocchi and tells Mocchi to make theirs' a good fair match. They shook hands while the official tells everyone not to miss the last match between Most and Mocchi as it promises to be the match of the century.

Mum Mew leaves General Duraham a note saying because she has failed many times, she is going to go out and take the Mystery Disc from Genki and the gang on her own.

Genki and the gang runs into Granity. They enjoy the reunion and spend a night together. But then they are attacked by Metalluna, an assassin sent by General Durham, who shrinks itself and takes over Granity.

Geki and the gang is able to defeat General Durham's assassin, Mew, but Golem's Twister hits a passerby, an old lady named Rosetta. The gang feels bad and decides to walk her home.

When Genki and the gang arrive in the town of Toble to attend the Greatest Four Cup, they see Grey Wolf, Tiger's brother. The two brothers enjoy their reunion, but soon they will find out the unexpected truth...

The mighty Shogun, a fierce fighter, is led by Mum Mew to fight Genki and the gang.

Genki and the gang have made it to the Legend Cup. If they win, they can finally get the magic stone "Gaia" that Holly's father is confined in!

When Mum Mew asks about his plans, General Durahan says that he has already found a very strong monster who can deal with the gang. As they signed up for the World Monster Cup, the gang realized that they don't have a partner for Mocchi that is in IMA's designated list so they went around only to encounter Naga of the Big Bad Four! Naga says that he has changed and has trained hard to regain his fighting skills and would like to help them out. Everyone but Suezo trusts him. Naga displays unbelievable fighting abilities but can he be trusted? And what's with this very strong monster General Durahan found?

To get to the next battle stadium Genki and the gang must cross the ocean.

Pink Jam is not so sure about being one of the Baddies anymore and decides to go straight but finds that is not so easy as well.

In the Winner's Cup held in a town by the seaside, Mocchi's partner has to be Golem who is the only 1 in the 5 IMA designated monsters that is with the gang. It will be 2 rounds of 1 on 1 battles and a Sudden Death in the event of a tie against the defending champions. While Golem is bend on making up for his mistakes the other time, Mocchi isn't feeling well at all and faints (from high fever) while registering. After being sent to the hospital, they ponder if they should withdraw but Golem decides that he will win the 1st round and even if Mocchi lost, he will win in the Sudden Death round. While on his way to practice, Golem runs into Michelle, a girl who shares much interest in common with Golem. Golem brings her to the beach and she faints from exhaustion. Golem finds out that she is very sick from her father and that she needs 5000 gold (which is the same amount as the Winner's Cup prize money) for the operation. Golem decides to help, so he trains really hard and asks his friends to let him keep the Winner's Cup prize money. Mocchi looks better after some rest and they enter the competition. Golem managed to defeat a fearsome Arrowhead but Mocchi faints while fighting Noble Gel. In Sudden Death, can Golem defeat the powerful Noble Gel and get the money to help Michelle who came all the way to cheer him on despite her sickness?

Genki starts thinking that, to win more, everyone absolutely must follow his orders at all times.

Coming to a huge marshland Genki and the gang get into Sandra's hover taxi. After going halfway Sandra stops the taxi to raise the fee. But Holly manages to move Sandra's heart by talking about her search for her father.

Suezo rescues Gamba, who does not like to fight, from the bullies. Although he gets injured in this fight, Suezo still enters the competition to help his teammates and to show Gamba the spirit of fighting.

Fed up with their failures, General Durahan sends out his Shelly Gabus to deal with the gang. The Gabus caught up with the gang who found themselves on a deserted sea platform. After an intense battle, the Mystery Disc dropped into the ocean. As Mocchi and Genki searched, they encounter Professor Garnish's submarine. Garnish thought they are after his dream treasure (which is actually some sunken treasure of a pirate ship) and chased them away with his cannon. The gang came back after realizing that the only way to get the Mystery Disc back is to make peace and get Garnish to let them use the submarine. The professor is touched by Holly and decided to help them but not before they kept their side of the bargain which is to do anything for him (i.e. cleaning, cooking...)! Finally the professor, Genki and Mocchi departed. They found the Mystery Disc in an underwater cave which happens to contain the pirates' treasure! Just then, the Gabus attacked! Can they successfully bring back the Mystery Disc and what will happen to the pirates' treasure?

Hare runs into Fairy Hare and then into Wild Hare. The three used to be pirate buddies before. Now, Fairy Hare is running an orphanage, but Wild Hare may be trouble for them.

Genki and the gang are winning the matches at the Mandy Cup, rising steadily to the top. Through it all Tiger is too proud to listen to Genki, but in the Finals Tiger struggles, and finally he

While on their way to the Mandy Cup Genki and the gang meet the Wonder Brothers. They were getting along, until the elder Wonder finds out that they are rivals in the Mandy Cup challenge.

At Tama's orchard, Genki and the gang run into Hare. Hare decides not to join the gang, however, and stay at the orchard. Then Hare notices a Baddie following Genki and without a second thought runs after them.

Genki and Mocchi take part in the Rookie Cup, the first of six competitions that leads up to the Legend Cup. Winning this will give them the Mystery Disc containing Tiger!

Holly is determined to free his father from the Disc and trap Moo inside. The three enters a city to eat and while they are there, they saw Poritoka and Most in the Legend Cup competition. They were shocked at Poritoka's amazing fighting abilities but even more surprised when they saw the Magic Stone on the Winner's Plate. Genki thinks that the Magic Stone can help to release Holly's father. They were told that defending champions Poritoka and Most only appears in the Legend Cup. Genki and Mocchi decided to enter and win the Magic Stone for Holly. They also got reunited with some old friends.

Holly and Mocchi come across a Mystery Disc that might contain Moo. Suddenly the Baddies appear and they get away with the disc. This emergency calls Genki back into the world of Monster Rancher!
