In the Midsomer village of Midsomer Holm, the annual Midsomer Rocks Festival is in full swing. Among the festival-goers is a group of young activists, protesting against the development of a new quarry in the area. When one of the activists is found dead, apparently the victim of a hit-and-run, DCI John Barnaby and DS Jamie Winter are called in to investigate.
As the detectives start to uncover the truth behind the young woman's death, they discover a community that is deeply divided over the quarry development. There are those who stand to profit from the project, and those who are vehemently opposed to it. But as Barnaby and Winter dig deeper, they begin to realise that there is more going on in Midsomer Holm than just a simple protest.
As the body count starts to rise, Barnaby and Winter are faced with a complex web of politics, personal vendettas and old grudges. With tensions running high in the village, and everyone a suspect, it's a race against time to find the killer before they strike again.
With plenty of twists, turns and red herrings to keep viewers on their toes, "Saints and Sinners" is a classic Midsomer Murders episode, packed with intrigue, suspense and murder. As always, the picturesque village setting is the perfect backdrop for the dark deeds that unfold, and fans of the show will be delighted to see Barnaby and Winter back in action, working to solve another baffling case. So settle in for a night of mystery and mayhem, as Midsomer Murders once again proves why it's one of the most beloved crime dramas on television.
