Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Jimmy Fallon Pay Bowie, Axl Rose Karaoke Tributes

Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Jimmy Fallon Pay Bowie, Axl Rose Karaoke Tributes I've heard people that both love and hate Jimmy Fallon, ever since his "Saturday Night Live" days. But as a late-night host, one thing can't be denied: nobody tops his musical guests.

When your house band is The Roots, that's somewhat to be expected.

Fallon was joined Monday night by "50/50" star and "The Dark Knight Rises" cast member Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The pair apparently decided they'd give the late night a world of taste of their genuine bromance by serving up some karaoke selections in the styles of David Bowie and legendary Guns 'n Roses lead singer Axl Rose.

I'm just guessing here, but I have to think that when she became the very first "American Idol," Kelly Clarkson probably never thought for a second that the kid from "3rd Rock from the Sun" would one day channel the wild "Sweet Child Of Mine" and "Welcome To The Jungle" rocker through one of her songs.

By the same token, what were the odds that somebody around the same time Clarkson was annointed an "Idol" probably figured the guy from "SNL" that could barely go a single scene without laughing at his own jokes would be picking up hosting "Late Night" where Conan O'Brien would leave off?

Hand it to Fallon, though: that's a very good "Bowie" he does.
