'L.A. Ink' Preview Clip Shows Relationship Between Kat Von D, Jesse James (Video) My, oh my. How time does fly.

Was it really as long as 2007 that Kat Von D recovered from being run off of TLC's tattooed reality show "Miami Ink" on a rail by moving back to Los Angeles, opening her own High Voltage Tattoo Shop and scoring her very own hour-long reality series?

So much has changed over the past four seasons. Of the original artists Von D recruited - Chicago artists Kim Saigh and Hannah Aitchison and Von D's long-time friend Corey Miller - only Miller remains after Aitchison and Saigh departed following the show's second season. Since then, the shop's personnel has been a revolving door that's seen few staffers and artists last more than a season. Even Von D's then-BFF, Pixie Acia, didn't last through the first season as shop manager.

That first year focused strongly on a then-burgeoning romance between Von D and "Orbi" Orbison, son of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Roy Orbison.

If the sneak peek at the coming season below suggests anything, the coming season will follow the now-defunct couple of Von D and West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James. James notoriously landed in Von D's tattoed lap after bolting from his marriage with Sandra Bullock. The two recently broke up, but not before Von D got James' head tattooed on her ribcage. Ouch.

Watching a high-profile, heavily tattooed relationship go down in flames, complete with really misguided inkings = potential reality TV gold.
