'Jersey Shore': 4 Things to Know About Season Four

'Jersey Shore': 4 Things to Know About Season Four It's almost time for season four of "Jersey Shore!" Soon enough, we'll be able to see the crazy results of sending the Shore crew to Florence, Italy, and whether they're actually crazier there than they are over here. With the premiere coming up this Thursday, August 4, here are four things to know about season four:

1. The Italians wanted to give the kids some culture

In a column written for EW, executive producer SallyAnn Salsano explains that when she tried pitching the filming of "Jersey Shore" in Florence to the locals, they suggested that the kids see the sights. "Everyone in the city seemed to think I should be showing these kids statues, paintings, sculptures, museums, churches, fancy restaurants, bridges, historic ruins, and architecture," Salsano wrote. "Apparently they haven’t seen the show."

2. Snooki blames the brakes

By now you might already know that Snooki manages to crash her car in the upcoming season. While the trailers seem to indicate that Snicks just wasn't paying attention and slammed into a cop car, the guidette has a different explanation. "The brakes weren't really working in our Fiat. They were like, old," explained Snooki. "So to avoid the cops I ran right into a wall so I didn't hurt anybody." A Fiat that doesn't work properly? What a shock!

Only the episode will tell if Snooki's telling the truth there or not, but of course there's always the option of some sneaky editing to make it look like she's a terrible driver (except that we already know she's a terrible driver).

3. Snooki and The Situation might have smushed

In her EW column, Salsano also promised "random sex between cast members." She doesn't come right out with who the offenders are, but rumors have been flying that Snooki and The Situation hooked up, which might have lead directly to Snooki's boyfriend ditching her. That's certainly what the promos seem to indicate, but it's always hard to tell with the way they're edited. Keep an eye out for that episode, it's sure to be a good one.

4. Fights! Fights! Fights!

Though there's been a history of people punching and getting punched on "Jersey Shore," this season might feature more fisticuffs than ever before. While a friendly scuffle between Vinny and Pauly D is just some harmless post-clubbing fun, it's looking like there's some serious fighting among the cast in store. Most notably, things look to have gotten so heated between Ronnie and The Situation that Ronnie punched Sitch right in the eye.

You can see a bit more about that in the first and second trailers for season four of "Jersey Shore." Be sure to tune in to the premiere this Thursday, and may the fist pump be with you. Always.
