Jane Lynch Cut from 'Glee' Movie, Cast Had No Idea

Jane Lynch Cut from 'Glee' Movie, Cast Had No Idea Leave it to Ryan Murphy to create yet another controversy around a "Glee" property. Despite helming one of the hottest entertainment properties on television (and soon to be the big screen), he has managed to anger core fans by talking about getting rid of key characters, starting and shutting down spin-off rumors, and now he's left popular cast member Jane Lynch on the cutting room floor of "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie."

According to USA Today, "Lynch's Sylvester did appear by video on all the tour stops and even showed up in person at a concert that was filmed for the movie." Lynch is also noticably present in the film's trailer.

Cast members reportedly found out about the exclusion at a press conference before the film's premiere, and it apparently caught quite a few of the cast members by surprise.

As Movieline tells it, "when asked why Jane Lynch appeared in the film’s trailer and not the actual movie, the entire panel responded with a surprised, 'What?!'”

Murphy said that Lynch will still appear in another version of the "Glee" movie.

"We're doing another version in a couple of weeks on DVD," he said. "Jane will be on that. We'll do it that way."

Is Ryan Murphy making a mistake and alienating fans by keeping Jane Lynch out of the movie? Will you watch the movie without her?
