'Glee' Creator Ryan Murphy Forgives Kings of Leon...Is All Resolved?

'Glee' Creator Ryan Murphy Forgives Kings of Leon...Is All Resolved? It's hard to go from blurting out "F*** you!" to forgiving and forgetting, but "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy has done just that.

A while back, Murphy began a major feud with rock band Kings of Leon when he yelled "F*** you Kings of Leon!" during a press event in response to KoL not allowing "Glee" to use their hit song "Use Somebody." The band responded by telling Murphy to "buy a new bra," which Murphy saw as a homophobic comment.

As Ron Burgundy once said: "That escalated quickly."

Murphy has since stepped back and admitted he was wrong for the outburst. He told The Hollywood Reporter, "Who am I to say 'F--k you?' That's not what I meant. I completely understand when artists don't want a show or another artist to interpret their songs. In fact, I respect it. It's their personal work and I'd feel the same way."

The turning point for Murphy may have been when Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl gave him a taste of his own medicine: "F*** that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do 'Glee,'" said Grohl. Murphy is a professed Foo Fighters fan, so maybe having someone he respects throw the f-bomb at him made him change his position.

So far, Kings of Leon have not responded. "Glee" guest Gwenyth Paltrow reportedly organized a truce between KoL and Murphy via text while she was on set, so it's possible the matter has already been resolved.
