It's a Foo Fight: Seattle Rocker Slams 'Glee' Creators

It's a Foo Fight: Seattle Rocker Slams 'Glee' Creators Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has beef with ‘Glee’.

Grohl, former Nirvana drummer, told the Hollywood Reporter that the show is “not his thing” and neither is creator Ryan Murphy.

“The ‘Glee’ guy, what a f**king jerk,” he said, also adding that he supports musicians like Kings of Leon who decline to have their music on the show.

When Kings of Leon turned the show down for wanting to cover their hit ‘Use Somebody,’ Murphy announced, “F**k you, Kings of Leon. They’re self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture.”

The Kings of Leon didn’t think Murphy had to be personal about.

“"We turn stuff down constantly," Caleb Followill said.

The Grammy-winning Foo Fighters, according to Grohl, would turn Murphy down as well.

"[Murphy] is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his f**king show... f**k that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do 'Glee,'" Grohl said.

The Foo’s, rather, are planning a “garage” tour through April that has the potential to reach a younger audience in first-person. In honor of their new album, “Wasting Light,” which was recorded entirely in Grohl’s garage, the Seattle rock band will play a series of shows in fans’ garages.

Could Grohl’s comments backlash with Gleeks? In his defense, it’s every band’s right, he says.

Fans who don’t mind can enter the Garage Tour Contest for a chance to have the Fighters rock their garage.
