'The Walking Dead' Zombie Obstacle Course Comes to Comic-Con
by Andy NeuenschwanderEvery nerd worth his or her weight in graphic novels has wondered what being in a zombie apocalypse would be like, and how he or she would fare against the horde of living dead. Now, thanks to "The Walking Dead," you might just get a chance to see exactly how you would handle a zombie apocalypse!
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, "The Walking Dead" will be setting up a giant obstacle course in honor of the 100th issue of the comic book series that spawned the hit AMC show. The course will be set up in Petco Park, which pretty much guarantees that the scale will be epic, and will replicate the early days of the zombie outbreak according to the series.
At the event, participants will be able to run the obstacle course as a survivor, join the horde of zombies and seek out human flesh, or just watch the games unfold as an observer. The course will feature references to the show, and once you complete it, you will receive a grade telling you if you have been infected or not.
Pretty neat, eh? That should put any arguments among you and your friends as to who would survive the longest in a zombie apocalypse to rest. Remember, rule #1: cardio. Yeah, I know, wrong zombie universe, but still good advice.
"The Walking Dead Escape," as the event is called, will be held from July 12 to 14 at Petco Park in San Diego.
