'Twilight' Alum Anna Kendrick in Talks for 'Glee'-Like Comedy 'Pitch Perfect'

You might be familiar with Anna Kendrick from her quirky performance in "Twilight" or her hilarious turn in the vastly underrated "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World." But you ain't seen nothin' until you've seen her in "Up in the Air."

Girl earned that Oscar nomination for sure with that one, and proved to all of us that while she can do quirky comedy, she can handle drama just as well.

But I'll stop drooling over Kendrick's acting abilities for a second to tell you that she's in talks to star in the new movie "Pitch Perfect," which looks to be taking a cue from "Glee" and taking the ironic musical category to the big screen.

The movie centers on the world of college a capella groups, which are an even bigger deal than high school ones. Every campus seems to have at least ten of them, don't they?

Anyway, if she takes the role, Kendrick will play a socially rebellious goth girl who discovers her talent for singing and competes with her school's glee club. We've heard Kendrick sing some karaoke in "Up in the Air," but I doubt that's fully representative of her musical ability...so this should be an interesting project to keep an eye on.
