Snooki Calls 'Jersey Shore' 'Prison With Cameras' in New Rolling Stone Interview (Video)
by Tina Musial
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
Snooki sat down and did an interview with Rolling Stone and had some interesting things to say about MTV, "Jersey Shore," and what she plans on doing in the future. Snooki is on the cover riding a rocket (which she compared to Vinny Guadagnino's 'ding dong.')
While you'd think she would use the interview to promote the show that made her a household name, Snooki instead took the opportunity to voice her frustrations with working on "Jersey Shore," complaining about the stress of working on camera all the time.
"It messes with your head. That's why we go crazy," she said. "That's why we fight with each other. That's why we drink. We're living in a house for two months with that s---."
"We can't have cell phones, TV, radio or the Internet," Snooki said.
"If the President died, we'd have no idea. There's no normalcy. It's just like prison with cameras."
Prison with cameras, huh? Apparently Snooki has plans for a future well past "Jersy Shore" and they may or may not include working with MTV.
"When Jersey Shore ends I'm going to do more spinoffs," she says. "If MTV doesn't want them, another network will be, like, 'What does Snooki do now?' or 'Snooki's getting married!' What I'd like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand."
As we reported a couple weeks ago, Jessica Simpson's brand is set to sell a staggering $1 billion in goods this year. Of course, Simpson also has vocal and acting talent, neither of which Snooki possesses.
But we'd never bet against Snooki. The pint-sized fireball has already proven herself capable of becoming a wildly popular American cultural icon using nothing but her personality, so the sky's the limit.
