Sheen's Ex Brooke Mueller Busted for Coke and Assault, Charlie Pays Bail

The saddest part of the Charlie Sheen festival of narcissism this year was how seemingly insignificant his children fit into the "winning" narrative. Now comes further news to underscore just how irresponsible Sheen and mother Brooke Mueller have been about their role as parents.

Mueller was arrested this week in Aspen, Colorado for assaulting a woman. Police also found cocaine on her person, and arrested her on drug charges as well.

According to the Aspen Times, Mueller faces a class-four felony charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, along with third-degree assault. Mueller was released on an $11,000 dollar bond, and will face a December 19th court date.

Charlie Sheen reportedly provided Mueller's bail after her family reportedly wanted to keep her in jail to help straighten her out.

People quoted a source close to Mueller as saying "Maybe this [arrest] will force her to go into a treatment center for a long stay. Thirty-day rehabs won't work for her. Her family has been trying to get her to do this, now maybe the court will force her to get the help she needs! She has enough family to take care of the kids while she's away."

Mueller's publicist Steve Honig responded to the comments, telling People "I think anyone who is truly a friend of Brooke's would not be spending their time talking anonymously and behind her back to the media. I seriously question the validity of any comments made by these people alleging to be friends with Brooke."

TMZ posted video today of Mueller partying at the aptly-named Aspen club Escobar right before she was taken away by police for the earlier assault at a nearby club. Watch that video below:
