Sam Worthington from Terminator: Salvation gives thanks to Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe is known for a lot of things, such as his acting in movies such as Gladiator, Robin Hood, and American Gangster, and his bad temper and tendency to lash out at interviewers and paparazzi. However, one thing he is not normally making the headlines for is as a recipient of thanks from someone who claims to have received sound advice from him with regards to how to handle fame and fortune.

However, this is exactly what Sam Worthington, star of Terminator Salvation, has done. Worthington said that Russell Crowe had given him valuable advice on how to deal with fame and fortune, and how he should make sure that he did not neglect loyal fans as he became increasingly famous.

Speaking about his fellow Australian actor Worthington said: "We Aussie actors all know each other. I've asked Russell Crowe for advice over the years. He's really helped me out a lot. There's no school that can tell you how to handle things like losing your anonymity. [Russell told me] to handle it with sensitivity. It's hard to ask someone for their autograph. So if someone snubs me, why snub them? They're braver than I am and deserve my respect."

He also commented on how he got along with movie director James Cameron, who directed the first two movies in the series, The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Worthington said: "All I know is we get along. He used to be a truck driver and I used to be a bricklayer, and we're both passionate about our work. It's always about the work, not about the fairy dust and bulls**t that goes on with it."
