Season 1 Episode 8 - "Please Do Talk About Me When I'm Gone"

The girls prepare for Alison's memorial and Alison's brother shows up to change things all around. He's very different from what the girls remembered, grown up now.

Much of this episode is filled with the girls thinking about their times with Alison and how she brought all of them together, for better or worse. The memorial service goes off nicely and they girls hold their breath as Jenna take the stage. She talks about when she met Alison and how she was the sweetest person in the world to her and how much she loved her and so forth. While the girls are relieved she didn't reveal anything they are very confused. Jenna and Alison weren't friends. In fact Alison always made fun of Jenna. So they wonder what Jenna wants from all this attention and how she's going to use it against them.

Ian, Spencer's sister first ex shows up at the memorial unexpectedly leading to a lot of gossip and rumors amongst the girls.

Emily does end up going on a date, with Maya, her neighbor. It's her first big statement to the world that she might swing a different way which in her family won't go over very smoothly. But we'll just have to wait and see how that all turns out when the issue comes up.

A quieter episode overall. "A" wasn't too involved and things actually went smoothly. Which means the next episode is likely to be that much more intense!
