Rumors are swirling around the web that Madonna is planning to take the cast of the Fox hit musical "Glee" on a world concert tour in 2011.
Last year “Glee” paid tribute to Madonna by featuring her popular music such as "Ray of Light," "Express Yourself," "Vogue," "Like a Virgin" and "Like a Prayer," which gained praise from the queen of pop.
Madonna released a statement saying,"I think Mr. Schuester is very cute, and I'm glad he's doing such a good job empowering all the girls."
Gossipers say the “Glee” performance inspired the concert super star to hit the road once more and entertain her fans around the world.
According to a report from News of the World, Madonna is considering asking Lea Michele, Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison to be part of her 2011 world concert series.
The Metro.co.uk cited a source saying, "Madonna wants to break records and make her career bigger than ever," and because the 'Glee' episode featuring her music was such a hit, there are plans for the cast to appear.
Metro.co. uk’s source also said, "She is in amazing shape for her age, but this could be the last big world tour she does for a while, as she wants to concentrate on business ventures."
Madonna and "Glee" touring together sounds great in theory, but Madonna’s representative reportedly denied the rumors.
Madonna’s previous concert in 2009, the "Sticky and Sweet Tour" was the highest grossing road show by a solo artist in history which, made $408 million.
