Lindsay Lohan Claims Frame-Up For Theft
by Sean ComerThis is why we can't have nice things, folks....some way or another, they keep ending up in Lindsay Lohan's possession.
Oh, that Lohan. Are police playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors" or just flipping a coin to decide who gets to chat with her about which infraction? Santa Monica, Calif. police already want a chat with her about suspicions she lied in her account of her June wreck on Pacific Coast Highway with a big rig, but TMZ now also reports the star of Bret Easton Ellis' "The Canyons" claims she's been framed in a six-figure jewelry theft.
Theft victim and Lohan friend Sam Magid told Santa Monica police Monday that the two fellow Lohan associates with whom he'd recently been in contact - including a gentleman named Andrew Knight, alleged son of infamous former Death Row Records exec and gang-affiliated felon Marion "Suge" Knight - claimed Lohan handed them each a bag containing two or three stolen items belonging to Magid, wrapped in Lohan's t-shirts. The men then returned Magid's property, though other items are still reportedly missing.
Lohan's side? She claimed she hid other items around her house because she feared they'd eventually be stolen. Lohan reportedly confessed to Magid - who passed her tale along to police accordingly - that she was amid an Ambien-addled haze when she hid the jewelry. She's now claiming Knight was the thief, despite Knight's denial of the accusation.
Magid claims Lohan contacted him recently and apologized, "I'm sorry. Please pray for me."
Total, the stolen property has a value upward of $100,000 and includes not only pricey watches, but designer sunglasses and Tiffany-monogrammed silverware.
