'The League' Renewed for Season 4 (Set Your Lineup!)
by Andy Neuenschwander
So maybe you didn't make your fantasy football playoffs (or maybe you did, but round one isn't going so well). Who cares? "The League" has been renewed for another season!
The FX comedy has enjoyed a very successful year, not only attracting a number of celebrity cameos (Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Silverman among them... you can't beat that) but also improving their ratings by an average of 25% over last year.
That led the network to renew the show for its fourth season, which will air in Fall 2012. "The League" joins other FX standout comedies such as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Archer," "Louie" and "Wilfred," each of which have been enjoying a great deal of critical or ratings success and have show few signs of faltering.
Additionally, "The League" has brought the comedic genius of its cast members to the forefront: Paul Scheer, Nick Kroll and Jon Lajoie in particular have received some much-deserved extra attention in their comedy careers thanks to the exposure of the show.
So, feel free to do a little touchdown dance if you're a fan of "The League."
