'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Bran and Hodor Will Be Back
by Andy Neuenschwander
If you've been watching "Game of Thrones" but missing a certain one-worded strongman and his "little lord," we have some good news for you: Bran and Hodor will be back in action in season six.
Actor Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark on the hit HBO show, has confirmed that he will be returning to the show after taking season five off due to his storyline in the show exceeding the limits of what George R.R. Martin has written thus far in the books.
"I can’t say a lot, but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran,” Wright said. “He has some interesting visions."
When we last left Bran and Hodor they had found the Three-Eyed Raven, who will be helping Bran to hone his warg abilities. Series creator David Benioff insinuated that there will be a bit of a time jump for his character coming into the next season, and compared it to "Star Wars" of all things.
"Like, it would be far less interesting, after 'The Empire Strikes Back' to have an hour-long movie in between Empire and 'Return of the Jedi' where Luke is training,” Benioff said. “It’s so much cooler to cut from end of Empire to beginning of Return, where he’s become the Jedi."
Bran isn't the only character whose return was being wondered about by fans, as Kit Harington has been a subject of much discussion. Wright noted that he doesn't know if Jon Snow will return as the show goes on, but he said that Harington "said he's not" coming back.
