Cee Lo Green Responds to Date Rape Rumors

Cee Lo Green Responds to Date Rape Rumors Cee Lo Green is facing some serious scrutiny over new rumors.

The “Voice” judge is being accused of sexual battery by an unnamed woman. The woman in question is claiming that, when grabbing a drink with the singer, Green slipped a little something extra into her glass.

The woman claims that in July, Green bought her a drink in a downtown Los Angeles restaurant. After finishing her drink, the woman says the next thing she was aware of was waking up naked in a bed, with Green in the room.

The woman says that she went immediately to the police to report the incident, but Green’s representatives are crying foul. His lawyer is noting that it wasn’t until she hired a civil lawyer and made a request for a settlement from the singer, which was denied, before going to authorities.

LAPD detectives reportedly had the woman make a “pretext” call, in which she attempts to bait the other party into admitting fault. On tape, Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, apologizes and references MDMA (commonly known as Ecstasy). Sources say that Green admits that he thought the pill would help them have an enjoyable evening.

Green does not acknowledge, however, placing the pill in her drink during the conversation. MDMA also does not generally cause blackouts or unconsciousness as a side-effect.

Green’s representatives have scoffed at the claims, saying that if Green had made any such admissions he would already be under arrest.

“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” Green told TMZ.
