Animal Rights Group Condems Sarah Palin's Alaska After Hunting Episode

Sarah Palin Hunting The hunting episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska ignited negative reactions from animal rights group particularly the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

PETA vice president Dan Mathews condemned the show in a statement released Monday. According to Mathews, “Sarah seems to think that resorting to violence and blood and guts may lure people into watching her boring show. But the rating remain as dead as the poor animals she shoots.”

Speaking about the ratings, is it true that the rating of the former governor’s show is dead? Sarah Palin’s Alaska is actually enjoying an audience share of approximately 3.5 million according to the Nielsen figures released by TLC.

It seems like people are curious to know what kind of life the former vice presidential candidate has in Alaska. Perhaps they’re wondering if she’s really fit to run as President of the country.

In fact prior to the airing of Sarah Palin’s Alaska hunting episode, she anticipated that the show might become controversial and released her statements in her Facebook and Twitter.

In her Facebook Sarah Palin wrote, “Tonight’s hunting episode controversial? Really? Unless you’ve never worn leather shoes, sat upon a leather couch or eaten a piece of meat, save your condemnation of tonight’s episode. I remain proudly intolerant of anti-hunting hypocrisy.”

Sarah explained in her show that hunting for food is a common practice in Alaska to survive during the winter season.

Palin emphasized in her reality TV series that, “Hunting is something most Alaskans do to fill their freezer with meat for the winter.” She explained that most remote areas in Alaska has no grocery nearby, it is 4 or 5 hundred miles away.

Sarah Palin’s Alaska hunting episode featured the former Alaska Governor and reality show host with her father shooting and killing a caribou, cut into pieces and stored in a freezer.

The show airs Sunday 8/9c on TLC and available via Yidio the day after it airs.
