Amber Tamblyn and David Cross Wed!
by Shannon KeirnanLong-time lovebirds Amber Tamblyn and David Cross have married!
The 29-year-old “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” star and her 48-year-old “Arrested Development” paramour tied the knot over the weekend. The two dated for two years before announcing their engagement in August of last year.
The news broke when filmmaker Lance Bangs Instagramed a photo of the two dancing at the reception.
“Yo La Tengo playing Superchunk, Mission of Burma, and Pixies covers at David and Amber’s wedding” Bangs captioned.
This is the first wedding for both, who have readily poked fun at their age gap in the past.
“I was slow to make any moves because of our age difference, and also because she was a fan,” Cross has said, of seeing the pretty actress at different events but being afraid to approach her.
“If anyone’s wondering, I’m 14,” Tambyln quipped in reply.
She credits a connecting flight from Houston to Louisiana for bringing them together, after some “aggressive staring” on her part made the actor suggest they change seats and sit together. They spend the flight making fun of the SkyMall catalog, and as we all know that nothing breeds love like a connecting flight and a Skymall catalog, they knew they were meant to be.
‘Tis the season for weddings, apparently. Tamblyn was just last month attending her “Sisterhood” co-star Blake Lively’s wedding to Ryan Reynolds, one of only a small number of guests.
Cross is working on the new season of “Arrested Development,” while Tamblyn can be seen guest-starring on “House.” Best wishes to the happy couple!
