Princess No Longer: Actress Olivia Wilde Splits from Husband, Italian Prince Ruspoli
by Marivic Cabural“Tron: Legacy” actress Olivia Wilde and her husband Tao Ruspoli have decided to end their eight-year-long marriage.
Wilde was only 18-years-old when she and Ruspoli, who is an Italian Prince, eloped. The couple got married secretly on an adandoned school bus in 2003.
"The bus was the only place we could be completely alone, the wedding was a secret, and we wanted to do it someplace where we could hide with our best friends. It was all about the intimacy of the promise we were making," said Wilde in the December issue of Playboy magazine.
According to Wilde’s rep, the couple tried to save their relationship but it didn’t work out. The rep told People Magazine, "They have been living apart after trying for quite some time to make their relationship work."
Ruspoli, who is now 35-years old, is working as a filmmaker while Wilde, 26, is more popular for her role as “Thirteen” on Fox medical drama “House”.
The 26-year old actress stars opposite action superstars Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in the upcoming Western Sci-fi movie “Cowboys and Aliens,” which will hit theaters on July.
She will also be seen in the comedy movie “The Change-Up” with actors Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds, which will be released on August this year.
Wilde is also rumored as one among the strong contenders for the role of Lois Lane, opposite actor Henry Cavill who was recently announced as the next Superman.
