Shia LaBeouf Nods, Admits He Banged Megan Fox: 'It Was What it Was'

While "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" might be getting dogged by pre-release reviews, Shia LaBeouf will be getting high fives from dudes all over the country this week after rather nonchalantly admitting that he slept with his former "Transformers" co-star Megan Fox while they were working together.

LaBeouf talked about the affair in a new "bad boy" interview for "Details" Magazine.

"Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them," he explained in the interview. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."

Of course, there's one teensy tinsey problem with LaBeouf's confession. Fox may have been seeing her now husband Brian Austin Green at the time.

When asked by Details about the timing, LaBeouf replied, "'I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. . . .' —repeating the phrase exactly 12 times with various intonations, as if trying to get it just right."

LaBeouf's last word on the affair? "It was what it was."

Easy for you to say, Shia. Personally, if I managed to line up a few nights with Megan Fox, I would lock that sh$% up in my mind museum and protect it like a special little personal treasure with guards (and maybe some bad-ass mind lasers). I sure as sh%^ wouldn't be blabbering about it to Details, but hey, I don't have any big-budget 3D explosion fests to shill either.

As we reported earlier this month, LaBeouf has been far from shy when talking about why Fox was not invited back for another "Transformers" sequel. She was replaced by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

"Megan developed this...woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women," LaBeouf said. "Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It's summer. It's Michael's style. And I think [she] never got comfortable with it."

"This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it." LaBeouf went on to say. "When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk."

Of course, according to Michael Bay, the real reason Fox was given the axe was for likening the big budget producer to Hitler. Turns out Steven Spielberg wasn't so fond of the comparison. But that's another story.

The rest of the Details interview focuses on LaBeouf's temper, which has a tendency to get him into trouble (i.e. occasionally handcuffed), and how he's taking on better roles now that he has f$%^ you money.

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon," which the Minneapolis Star-Tribune just called a "brain-numbing, 154-minute headache," hits theaters across the country tomorrow.
