'The Hunger Games': Watch the Brand New Full-Length Full Trailer

What could possibly top the ridiculous buzz surrounding tonight's Hollywood premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn"? Hold on to your horses, kiddies. This is a big one. The full trailer for "The Hunger Games" was released on "Good Morning America" today, and it's something special.

We've seen super-brief glimpses of Academy Award-nominee Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, some great promo photos and images of key characters, an elaborate website, even some crazy new online poster formats, but this, friends, is the real deal.

While we still have several months to go for the film's release, this trailer kicks off the full-blown hype for a trilogy of movies that serves as the best bet to replace "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" as the next series of heavily-hyped action movies based on best-selling novels to crush the box office.

Of course, "Winter's Bone" star Jennifer Lawrence doesn't want the bar to be set quite that high.

"'Hunger Games' is not 'Twilight,'" she noted in a recent Vanity Fair interview, "and while I hear the comparisons, it’s really premature to say that it will be the same phenomenon."

Of course, if they are avoiding comparisons, the promo team for the film may have thought about picking another day to launch their big trailer.

Are you psyched to see "Hunger Games"? After this 2:30 minute high-action trailer, you very well might be.

"The Hunger Games" comes out in wide release March 23rd, 2012.
