'Hunger Games' Photos: See Jennifer Lawrence in New Promo Pics

The producers of "The Hunger Games" film series have released new pics from the first installment of trilogy showing Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) looking a little worse for the wear. Unlike the glossy posed promo pics from Entertainment Weekly that popped up recently, these shots show Lawrence and Hutcherson in the midst of shooting, looking sweaty, beat up, and fully entrenched in their own hunger games.
Based on a series of young adult books by Suzanne Collins, featuring a young woman struggling to survive in a world where the government pits youth against each other in deadly battles for sport. Hot off an Oscar-nominated role in "Winter's Bone" and a solid performance in "X-Men: First Class," Lawrence joins a cast for the new film that includes Hutcherson and Miley Cyrus' boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
The film is currently in production in North Carolina, and the film is slated for release on March 23, 2012.
In other "The Hunger Game" news, Lionsgate officially announced that "Catching Fire," the second of four planned films in the series, will be released November 22, 2013.
