Gostoso is enjoying working his farm and living in a small rural area of Brazil when a group of local women and religious leaders form a band and make a small success of their new career. Things begin to go wrong for Gostoso as he struggles to hold on to his farm and is forced to move to the capital and begin a new career as a scrap metal collector. Gostoso is quickly identified as a suspect in a theft that only adds to the problems he is having in his life.
