If you have a dream and need to muster up strength to defy the odds. Honey is a great inspirational movie that will help you fulfill your dream. Jessica Alba portrays a young woman with a dream of being the ultimate choreographer to mega-stars in the music industry, as well as owning her own dance school. The one valuable lesson she learns is to never give into what looks good, by giving up your values and character to achieve your dream.

The movie shows Alba as a struggling dancer with multiple gigs as a bartender at night, and volunteer dance instructor at the local community center. In between that hectic schedule she manages to audition for jobs that might land her the opportunity to reach her dream. She gets noticed, and is convinced she is finally on her way. She ventures to purchase a building for her dance school. She befriends two young brothers who she sees real possibilities for developing the dance craft. Her heart is so pure that she introduces a concept of using children as extras in her choreography for the hip-hop star Genuwine video. She thought the idea was shared by the producer, but when she didn’t put out like he wanted, her whole concept was scratched. She was blackballed in every aspect of the industry. Much to her dismay the job she thought was her mecca, turned out to be just the opposite. She discovered that her employment wasn’t about talent, but what she could do otherwise for the producer.

Along the way a love interest develops, she rekindles a friendship with her longtime girlfriend she had neglected, and she finds renewed strength to still pursue her dream. Against the odds of no job and no money, everyone comes to help her raise money for her school. The old producer comes upon hardship realizing he lost a good thing. He tries to lure her back, but she resists only to work that much harder to reach her goal. She pulls together her dance crew from the community center. The neighborhood rallies and works to convert an old church into an auditorium for a fundraiser. The night finally arrives, and the show is a tremendous success. Financial supporters are in the audience, and commit to supporting Honey’s school. An enlightening delightful end to what could have been a disaster if she gave up on her dream.
