Less Than Perfect is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from 2002 to 2006. Starring Sara Rue as the lead character, the show revolves around the behind-the-scenes chaos of a fictional television news magazine called "The Blush." Rue plays the role of Claude Casey, a receptionist who dreams of becoming a serious journalist. Despite her lack of experience, Claude impresses her boss and gets promoted to the position of editorial assistant, where she must navigate office politics, complicated relationships, and demanding assignments.

Sherri Shepherd plays Claude’s friend and coworker, Ramona Platt, who is known for her sassy comebacks and outrageous wardrobe choices. Meanwhile, Andrea Parker portrays Lydia Weston, the show’s star anchor who can be difficult to work with at times. Lydia takes a disliking to Claude from the get-go and makes life difficult for her whenever she can.

Other major characters include Zachary Levi as Kipp Steadman, an arrogant and shallow reporter who often clashes with Claude but secretly has a crush on her. Eric Roberts plays Will Butler, the executive producer of "The Blush" who is constantly at odds with his boss, network president Jeb Denton, played by Patrick Warburton. Lucy Lawless portrays Jeb's wife, the intimidating and powerful network chairman, Maxine Lombard.

Andy Dick plays Owen Kronsky, the quirky and socially awkward researcher for "The Blush." Will Sasso plays Carl Monari, another reporter who is always trying to get ahead, and Nicole Sullivan plays Vivian, Claude's best friend and roommate who also works at the office. Masi Oka, who later went on to become famous for his role in the hit TV series "Heroes," plays one of the show’s interns.

Other notable guest stars include Bob Odenkirk, Simon Helberg, Kristin Bauer van Straten, and Kat Dennings. Brooke Burke, Kathryn Joosten, Ben Feldman, Christopher Gartin, Anne Dudek, and Vanessa Lee Evigan also make appearances in various episodes.

Despite the show's relatively short run, "Less Than Perfect" was known for its witty writing, solid performances, and relatable characters. The sitcom tackled issues such as workplace politics, office romances, and the struggles of climbing the corporate ladder. The show's creators and writers managed to strike a perfect balance between humor and heart, making it a beloved favorite among fans of the genre.

Throughout its four-year run, "Less Than Perfect" managed to attract a loyal fanbase that appreciated the show's honest portrayal of the ups and downs of life in the corporate world. The show's legacy continues to this day, and it remains a go-to example of how to create a successful sitcom that can capture the hearts of audiences across the board.
